DJing and Reading

My morning is mellow, heartbeating and hooked by guitar strings.

On the weekend I passed from nervous to intimate heartbeats as a I read my stuff in a stage for the first time. Now I feel like doing more, learn to memorize and try some performing. Let's say I had the advantage of having DJed the night before, so It was not about the people in front of me; it was about the marvelous feeling of the first time, which is the reason I keep trying and trying on everything. It helped a lot to have monitors so when I stepped down and tried the mic I got the whole thing with the sound level, making me confident about the voice. Anyway, my body did tremble and I tried to hide it by bringing that subtle DJ dance I do in one leg when I'm beatmatching but It didn't work.

Coming down from the stage was like coming down to a whole new thing. I felt embraced. Tyler the poet came to cheer and we have a good time the rest of the event. Then I realized I chose the right time to stepped down and would like to thank Jason W for inviting me, but most for hosting this special gathering. He is inspiring, has a biting writing and determination to share it. The Rat vs. Snake show was my holiday party.
